When a loved one leaves property in Florida and you are managing the estate from Canada, the practical work can feel difficult to start — different institutions, different paperwork, and no single person who sees the whole picture.
The difficulty is rarely one complicated step. It is the accumulation — locating the property records, finding who holds the keys to the accounts, learning which institution needs which form, and doing all of it from another country, often in another time zone.
Florida property also sits inside a different legal and tax system from the one most Canadian executors know well. The names of the processes are unfamiliar, and it isn't always clear which professional handles which piece.
My role is to be the steady point of coordination for you. I help gather and organize the documents and account information, build a clear picture of what exists and what still needs attention, and keep track of what each institution has asked for.
I work alongside the Florida attorney, CPA, and financial institutions already involved, so you aren't the only person carrying the correspondence. Where something is stuck, I help move it forward.
For legal steps, court procedures, and formal filings, the right answer comes from a licensed Florida professional. My job is to help you arrive at those conversations prepared, and to make sure the financial information behind them is accurate and complete.
You shouldn't have to learn an unfamiliar system under pressure. My role is to make the work legible, so you always know what has been done and what comes next.
Nola Advisory LLC provides financial organization and coordination services. It does not provide legal advice, act as the estate's legal representative, or prepare tax filings unless separately agreed in writing.
A confidential conversation is the simplest place to begin.
